Private Treatments for Children and Adults of all ages
We offer private consultations and treatment. The principle advantages are:
- Private patients are seen for an initial consultation within 4 weeks.
- If you then decide you want an ideal smile, you can start orthodontic treatment within a few weeks.
- Invisible or low visibility (white) braces can be used – your friends need not know you have a brace
- Additional clinical time is set aside for each patient
- Unrestricted use of sophisticated aesthetic appliances and techniques are possible
- Flexible interest free payment options are usually available subject to conditions, please ask for details. Private orthodontics is affordable for most people using our monthly payment system.
All private patients are sent a full written report with payment choices before any treatment starts. For this reason you will always know what treatment will cost in total, before you start.
Fees for Private Treatment
- Initial Consultation: £70
- Treatment Fees: Fees are individually assessed and depend upon the duration and complexity of treatment. They range from £250 to £7,000.
Financial considerations should not be an obstacle to a beautiful smile for the rest of your life. Therefore, our practice offers a wide range of payment options.
In addition, you can arrange a monthly installment plan. Many orthodontic problems require only limited treatment. The cost of treatment will vary, depending on the severity of the problem.
For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards and cheques. We aim to deliver the finest orthodontic care at the most affordable cost to our patients.
NHS Treatment for Children Only
- An initial examination and assessment is available under the NHS for child patients before their 18th birthday.
- Orthodontic treatment for patients who start their treatment after their 18th birthday is only provided under private contract.
- There is a waiting list (usually 6 months) for NHS new patient consultations
- NHS Orthodontic treatment is provided to meet NHS criteria set by the Department of Health. Only the more severe cases can be funded by the NHS. New regulations have been given to orthodontists Nationally to only allow NHS treatment of cases which score highly on the Index of Treatment Needs (IOTN 3/6, 4 or 5).
- There may be a waiting time between your initial new patient appointment and starting orthodontic treatment. NHS waiting times and the rules the NHS imposes on the practice change over time. Our NHS contract only allows our practice to start a set number of cases each financial year. We have applied for additional funding from the NHS but this has not been granted. To find out what our waiting time is now please call 01329 284 419.
Please understand that the conditions under which we offer NHS treatment originate from the Department of Heath and the local Primary Care Trust. Any comments about the availability of NHS treatment should not be attributed or directed at our dedicated staff, who support our delivery of NHS care. Please ask for the contact details of the Primary Care Trust should you need to contact them. |
