Our practice Get in touchDavid Gale is a highly experienced specialist orthodontist. ‘He is also a past national dental nurse examiner and an orthodontic therapist trainer having trained all of our therapists’. He is passionate about patient care, and strives to help every patient attain their ideal and achievable smile in a relaxed and friendly practice environment. David enjoys getting to know his patients over the course of their treatment and finding the best orthodontic treatment to help them reach their smile goals.
David qualified as a dentist at Newcastle University in 1989. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1993, having gained the Fellowship in Dental Surgery. David went on to focus on orthodontics, completing his Master’s degree in orthodontics at the University of Manchester in 1997. In the same year, David was awarded Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and of Edinburgh.
After working as a Consultant Orthodontist in the Hospital Service in Hampshire, David set up his practice, David Gale, The Specialist Orthodontic Referral Centre, in 2001. He loves working with such an amazing team at the practice, and has created a warm and welcoming practice environment and setting that he is so proud of. In 2019, David set up his second practice, Orthodontica Limited.
David has authored scientific papers and has presented lectures at national and international specialist conferences. He is also a national dental nurse examiner.
On a personal note, David is married with two grown up children, who are both at university. He enjoys spending time with them when they are at home during the university holidays. In his spare time, David enjoys travelling with his family when he can, and is lucky to have been to some great places. His main hobby outside of work is road cycling, mainly to keep fit but he also enjoys being in the countryside. David also enjoys doing graphite portrait drawings and going to the theatre, and he loves food!
Hany qualified as a dentist with first class honours in 2010 and embarked on orthodontic training at Aleppo Dental Hospital. He obtained his MSc from Sheffield University in 2014 and broadened his UK clinical experience by teaching dentistry at Peninsula Dental School, Plymouth, and taking posts in foundation / general dentistry, oral & maxillofacial surgery and paediatric & community dentistry in Somerset and Worcestershire between 2015 and 2019.
In 2019, Hany relocated to the South Coast and became a Speciality Doctor in Orthodontics at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. He worked with consultants to treat complex orthodontic problems, and carry out audits and research.
In 2021, Hany passed his specialist exams (MOrth) and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Hany joined the team at David Gale as a locum in August 2023, before starting officially in November 2023.
Hany loves transforming his patients’ smiles and helping them achieve the smile of their dreams. He also enjoys working with such a welcoming, efficient and friendly team.
Outside of work, Hany enjoys being a dad, playing chess, swimming, cycling and cooking delicious eastern cuisine.
Sarah qualified as a dental nurse in 1993. She went on to achieve a Certificate in Dental Radiography in 2004 and completed her BTEC Professional Diploma in Dental Practice Management in 2006.
Sarah has been the Practice Manager at David Gale since 2004, and really enjoys her job. She loves that every day is different and there is always a new challenge to overcome or something new to learn. She is proud of how the practice is constantly evolving at a rapid rate, keeping up with technological advances and new equipment. She strives to support the whole team to do the very best they can to make sure every patient receives the best possible treatment, care and results.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys running and going to the gym, although mainly from a social perspective! She also loves travelling off the beaten track, both at home and abroad, to make memories and have new adventures. Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and friends and sometimes even gets a chance to read a book or two!
Alison started working at David Gale in 2003 as our valued Systems Manager. She qualified as a Dental Surgery Assistant in 1986, and completed her training in Dental Radiography in 2006 and in Orthodontic Nursing in 2007.
Alison enjoys dealing with all the challenges that a busy NHS and Private practice brings, and loves that no two days are ever the same!
Outside of work, Alison loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends.
Callie qualified as a dental nurse from the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy in 2012 and started working at David Gale in January 2019. She completed her Radiography training in 2014. Callie officially took on the role of Clinical Operations Manager in 2021.
Callie really enjoys working in a team that truly cares about each other and the service they offer to their patients. She loves seeing the difference that orthodontic treatments make to people and seeing the change in their smiles. Hearing that patients will miss coming to see everyone at the practice always makes her smile!
Outside of work, Callie’s absolute passion is her pooches! Her favourite thing to do is spend time walking her two dogs and she also has a home dog grooming studio which she works from one or two days a week. Aside from that, she also enjoys baking – mainly for family and friends but she has been known to create treats for her four-legged friends too! Callie loves eating out and trying new restaurants, spending time with her loved ones, and has recently started running.
Emma started her dental career in 1994, training to be a dental nurse. She gained her National Certificate NEBDN in Dental Nursing in 1996.
Emma began working at David Gale in 2010, going on to achieve a qualification in Dental Radiography in 2012. She began studying as an Orthodontic Therapist at the University of Leeds Dental Institute in 2015, and graduated with her Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy with the Royal College of Surgeons in 2016.
Emma loves helping her patients achieve a lovely, confident, life-changing smile. She enjoys fitting the braces and then watching the complete transformation over time. Her favourite part of her job is revealing her patients’ new smiles and seeing their happy reactions once their braces have been removed! She also loves working alongside the rest of the fantastic David Gale team.
Outside of work, Emma loves walking her dog, Kevin. She enjoys live music and going to festivals, and also plays the guitar herself. Emma counts herself very lucky to have amazing friends both in the workplace and outside of work that she socialises and has the best times with. Emma is married with two older children.
Sarah achieved her NVQ Level 3 in Oral Health Care: Dental Nursing and Independent Assessment at City and Guilds in 2008 and joined the team at David Gale as a dental nurse in 2009. Sarah then went on to train as an orthodontic therapist and gained her Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy with the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011.
Sarah loves helping every patient achieve their dream smile. It can make a huge difference to someone’s confidence and she loves seeing their big smiles at the end of treatment. Sarah also enjoys getting to know the patients and making every visit an enjoyable one for all.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and children – the beach is their favourite place to go! She is also a keen gym-goer and loves a good Netflix series.
Lucy achieved her Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 with City & Guilds in 2018, and joined the team at David Gale in the same year. She gained a further qualification in Dental Radiography in 2019. After deciding to focus on orthodontics, Lucy went on to complete her Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2022.
Lucy enjoys fitting braces and loves seeing the progress each patient makes during their orthodontic journey, and the new confidence they have when their new smiles are revealed.
Outside of work, Lucy loves spending time playing with her two cats, Stanley and Otis. She also enjoys going to the gym, particularly to do weightlifting.
Paige began her dental career as a dental nurse, and achieved her National Diploma in Dental Nursing NEBDN in 2017. She began working at David Gale in January 2019 and began focusing on orthodontics, gaining her Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2022.
Paige enjoys following the patients on their individual orthodontic journeys and watching their smile transformations evolve. She loves seeing their happy faces at the end of their treatment when new smiles are revealed!
Outside of work, Paige enjoys going on long walks with her French bulldog, Hudson. She also loves going to the gym.
Katy has been a valued part of our team at David Gale since 2013. She really enjoys greeting each patient as they begin the first steps of their journey and loves seeing their confidence grow as their smiles are transformed.
Katy loves the laughs that come every day from the David Gale team, and enjoys working in a supportive and professional environment with access to ongoing training.
Outside of work, Katy enjoys family time with her husband and two young children. She is also a proud chicken mum! Katy also loves eating out, especially Asian or Mexican food, and dreaming of holidays abroad. She used to love zumba and ballet but finds it hard to get time to go to classes, so has started needle felting instead!
Tom began working at David Gale in February 2022 and really enjoys his role. He takes pride in giving each patient a great experience and excellent customer service. He always strives to answer any questions to the best of his knowledge, and if he doesn’t know the answer, he will find out!
Tom’s favourite part of his job is being able to see such a wide variety of people undergoing orthodontic treatment to achieve their ideal smiles. He loves seeing the look on their faces when they leave the practice with such brilliant results!
Tom hopes to write books in the fantasy genre one day, and is in the process of bringing ideas together to create the world for these novels. Look out for them in the future!
Victoria qualified as a dental nurse in 2014 and gained her dental radiography qualification in 2016. She joined the team at David Gale in January 2015, and took on the role of Assistant Systems Manager in 2022.
Victoria is super organised and really enjoys the admin side of her job. She makes sure all the compliancy and regulatory boxes at the practice are ticked, something she finds very satisfying. Victoria takes pride in knowing that her ‘behind the scenes’ work contributes to giving each patient the best possible care.
Outside of work, Victoria enjoys spending time with her family, especially her little boy, who keeps her very busy! She also likes going on day trips and loves holidays.
Jo began working at David Gale in 2022, and has quickly become a fantastic and valued member of the team. She was in her previous, and very different, job for a very long time, but since making the move to David Gale, she has never looked back!
Jo has learnt so much about the world of orthodontics in her role, and loves how varied her position is. From face-to-face contact with the patients on the front desk to organising and preparing invoices in the admin side of her role, no two days are ever the same!
Jo also loves to read testimonials from patients at the end of the treatment, and enjoys seeing how happy and confident they are with their new smiles.
When she’s not at work, Jo loves spending time with her three children at their family beach hut. She also loves to read when she has time, and has a keen interest in aromatherapy.
Liz has been working at David Gale since 2019. She is fully trained and experienced in the decontamination of dental instruments and is an integral part of patient and staff safety at the practice.
Liz loves cleaning, tidying and organising, so this really is the perfect job for her!
Outside of work, Liz loves reading crime books, both true life and fiction. She also really enjoys spending time with her family.
Hayley achieved her NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing at Highbury College, Portsmouth. She also completed her Dental Radiography qualification in 2011. Hayley joined the team at David Gale in July 2015.
Hayley really loves greeting every new patient and seeing the start of their treatment journey. New patient days are definitely her favourite! She also enjoys being able to see their confidence improve as their treatment progresses.
Outside of work, Hayley has a horse that takes up a lot of her time!
Katrina achieved her Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 at City and Guilds in 2014, and joined the team at David Gale in 2016.
Her favourite part of her role at David Gale is taking radiographs to help determine the best treatment and course of action for each patient. Katrina also enjoys nursing with the orthodontic therapists and seeing the incredible smile transformations in each patient following their treatment.
Outside of work, Katrina enjoys going to the gym and does parkrun most weekends. She also likes creating homemade crafts, including acrylic keyrings and signs, cards and birthday decorations.
Jo began her dental nursing career in 1987 and achieved her National Diploma in Dental Nursing at the University of Portsmouth in 2002. She joined the team at David Gale in 2019, and went on to gain her Certificate in Radiography in 2022.
Jo enjoys working alongside a great team at David Gale, and loves seeing the patients’ journeys throughout their treatment. She loves seeing their confidence grow as they get closer to achieving their perfect smiles.
Outside of work, Jo loves reading and spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren! She also enjoys socialising with her friends and her David Gale work family.
Hollie studied with the Harriet Ellis training group, and achieved her National Diploma in Dental Nursing NEBDN in 2014. She has worked at David Gale since 2019.
Hollie loves meeting all the lovely patients in the practice. Her favourite part of the job is seeing their incredible smile transformations and witnessing the confidence they gain from straightening their teeth. None of that could be possible without the amazing David Gale team.
In her spare time, Hollie enjoys reading, shopping and spending time with her two beautiful children and husband. Of course, she also loves socialising with her friends and her David Gale work family.
Tasha gained her NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing in November 2020, and has been working at David Gale since July 2021.
Tasha loves learning new skills in her role and seeing each patient achieve their perfect straight smile. She also enjoys learning about the different techniques in orthodontics and why each are used for certain reasons.
Outside of work, Tasha enjoys playing video games and seeing her friends. She loves absolutely anything to do with animals and has two dogs and a hamster named Gus.
Raminta achieved her National Diploma in Dental Nursing NEBDN in 2017, and went on to complete her BDA Education Certificate in Dental Radiography in 2021. She joined the team at David Gale in May 2021.
Ramina enjoys helping every patient through their orthodontic journey with the team at David Gale. She particularly loves seeing the transformation in their smiles and feels privileged to be able to help them understand their treatment process and what will be happening at each stage.
Outside of work, Raminta loves going on long walks with her partner and their dog. She also enjoys travelling and cooking.
Steph achieved her National Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2017 and joined the team at David Gale in August 2021.
She loves seeing each patient’s journey to their brand new smile first-hand, and witnessing their happiness when they have reached the end of their treatment and have the smile they’ve always wanted.
Outside of work, Steph loves spending time with her family, friends and dog. She also enjoys travelling, cooking and music.
Jenny qualified as a dental nurse with a Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing in May 2023. She started working at David Gale in September 2023.
Jenny really enjoys seeing how happy the patients are when their braces are taken off. She loves having a part in their teeth straightening journey and helping patients find their ideal smiles.
In her spare time, Jenny enjoys baking, eating out and spending time with her family. She also likes going to the gym and taking her dog for long walks.
Evie gained her Level 3 Qualification in Dental Nursing with City & Guilds in July 2023, and started working as part of the team at David Gale in September 2023.
Evie has always had a passion for dentistry, especially caring for patients. After completing a degree in health and wellbeing at Winchester University, Evie decided she wanted to explore nursing further. Since qualifying as a dental nurse, Evie has continued her professional journey into orthodontics. She enjoys every aspect of her role, particularly working alongside such a dedicated and professional team at David Gale.
In her spare time, Evie enjoys baking, socialising with friends and spending quality time with her family. She likes to keep active by going to the gym and going for walks at local National Trust sites. Evie has recently had the opportunity to start learning sign language, which she hopes to be able to put into practice.
Danni is a passionate and qualified dental nurse who joined David Gale’s practice in July 2024. Her journey in dentistry began as a patient of David’s during her school years. Witnessing the positive impact dental treatment can have on confidence and seeing the amazing transformations sparked her interest in the field.
Danni graduated with a Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing from Eastleigh College in March 2023. She thrives on learning new skills and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental technology. Her dedication ensures a smooth and comfortable experience for all patients.
Outside of work, Danni enjoys spending quality time with her two dogs, who are her furry companions as well as exploring new places with her partner. Danni also has a love for Harry Potter!
Eloise gained her Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 in July 2020 and joined David Gale in March 2024.
Eloise enjoys working with a great team, providing the best treatment for our patients. My favourite part of working in an orthodontic practice is following patients on their journey.
Outside of work Eloise enjoys socialising with friends and spending time with her family. She also loves travelling and attending music festivals.
